Garland Exchange

Garland Exchange

I joined a Garland Exchange on Instagram! Never made a Garland before.
The first one I made was the Fall  Leaves.
I spied on my Partners Blog that she
had not time for Fall Decorating.

I left her Fall Leaf Garland on the Fireplace....
M husband came home from Golfing
and texted me that the Garland on the Fireplace looked nice.
LOL! It is still there.
So I had to make another one for my partner.

In the e-mail regarding my partner it
stated that she loved Mason Jars,
her favorite colors are Blue and Green.

In the beginning I was had plans to make her the
Mason Jar Garland.
So she will receive both.

The Garland exchange is a fundraiser
to help with adoption fees.
This is my 2nd Fundraiser for this cause.
I have enjoyed both.
These two fundraiser have taken me out
of my crafting comfort zone.
I have found that I really enjoyed making the Garlands.
I plan to make more...
You can view the Garlands from others on

Melted Crayon Art on Canvas

Melted Crayon Art on Canvas

My daughter wanted to try Melted Crayon Art on Canvas.
I had seen these floating around on Pinterest many times.
We decide we wanted to leave the paper wrapping on the crayons.
We liked what the paper said.  We bought Cheap Crayons at Walmart.
The paper said Craz Art.
Probably would have melted better without.
But first try and I really love how they turned out.
We bought 2 Canval and 3 boxes of Crayons.
Spent a totol of $15.00 at Walmart

First we separated the crayons by colors and name.
(This took a minute)
Good thing my 12 year old is into sorting.
Then we hot glued the crayons on to the canvas.
(This for me was the fun part)
I love my hot glue gun.

We placed a trashbag under the canvas.
I suggest old t-shirt you don't mind tossing in the trash later.
(I learned this the hard way)
Then with the hair dryer on high start melting the crayons.

We decided we wanted to add some
vellum flowers
and
butterflies
I had already made up.

Enjoy!
Happy Crafting!

Hot Glue the crayons on the Canvas
