Pop Up Birthday Card

Wow! I have not post on here in a long time.
That does not mean I am not crafting.
Does not mean I am not posting on the internet.
Just means I am not keeping up with my blog. :-(

Here we go!

My 11 year old daughter and I made this Pop Up Birthday Card
for her friend who turned 12 years old.
Here is a picture of the inside. I just love that puppy and the balloons.
The balloons is where my daughter discovered EMBOSSING.
LOL! She we was so thrilled with embossing
she knocked my Cuttlebug on the floor. :-)
We got the idea for the Pop Up from Valita's Designs & Fresh Folds
I just love her blog and her cards.
I don't know if I am posting this right or not I am hoping it makes a link.
But here is the web address.
http://valitasfreshfolds.blogspot.com/2010/01/pop-up-balloon-card.html

Here is the front of the card. Those 12 candles were
hand cut and we used a flower punch to make the tips of the candles.

Here is the tag for the gift bag.
My daughter was so excited about the card that she told
her friend we were making her card.
I assume she has told all of her friends that we
make cards with our Cricut, because that was the first thing her friend asked.

I have a Cricut but I don't use it much.
The only thing that was made with the Cricut was the
tag that the pink puppy dog is on.

Here is a list of what was used for the is card.
Die Cut Sizzix Cake 656373
Quickutz Limited Edition dog REV-0223-S
Martha Stewart Balloon Punch
Martha Steward Fence Border Punch
Cuttlebug Swirls Embossing Folder

I will be posting some new tags I have made soon.

Happy Mother's Day!

Wow! What a beautiful warm Sunny Day! Except we forgot to take pictures. My husband made a great breakfast of Egg Omelets and Hash Browns. Then he made me, my mother and my MIL BBQ Chicken on the grill. It was tasty. He bought me a Gorgeous Calla Lilly for the Garden. I really need to take a picture. I have never seen anything like it. Wow! And a gift card to have my nails done with my Darling Daughter.

Darling Daughter made me 2 cards and a bookmark and then bought me a card from Hallmark. WoW! Three cards from one child!

I am blessed!

Here is the card I made for my mother. It is a pocket card. I did not intend to irritate but it was kind of fun watching her try to open it. ;-) You would still think I was a teenager with a little bit of rebellion going on. But she enjoyed it the card. There was not much room to write. So it was short and sweet and the Gift Card was behind the flowers.

Valentine's Milk Carton

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day!
One of the days that I feel most under pressure!
Even though I am married and have been for over 17 years!

When I was a kid it was fun holiday.
You go to school and every kid in the class room gives you a Valentine.
You get to eat Cupcakes and Chocolate.
Yum my favorite.

Tonight I made two milk carton's out of card stock
and put Hershey Kisses in them for my Daughter's teachers.
I have made these milk cartons several times over the last year and half.
This is the first time I have taken a photo to share.

Here is where I got the directions for the cartons.
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/milk_carton_box/
Here is the tutorial I found on Cristina's blog Getting Crafty on the flower using the scallop punch. Here is the direct link to her video on youtube.com
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32-eRRPD5Jw&feature=player_embedded

And here is the cartons that I made. Both took me under a hour to make.
The flowers I made yesterday.

The card attached is 2.5 x2.5 and yes that is a quilled heart on the the punched heart.
In the center of the flower is a button that looks like a quilled heart. ;-D

And this is the other one I made.
I took several pictures just could not get the picture to show the details.
It is exactly like the other one.
But the flower and the heart is pink and the quilled heart is in white.
The button in the center of the flower is pink.

Quilling

Finally a bright and sunny day to take pictures.
I am waiting for the weekend! It will finally be warm enough
to melt the ice. I can't wait!

Anyway! Stuck inside doing one of my favorite things and that is quilling!!

Here are some of my work. This is work in progress here
I love trees and owls. I plan to add some flowers.

This is a 2.5 inches card by 2.5 inches.
I thought this would be a great gift tag for a birthday present.

Working out

I have been working out daily on my Stair Master.
I have not lost a pound:-(
But at least I am trying! ;-)

I workout listening to my iPod.
It helps to listen to music, it keeps me motivated.
My dilemma was how to hook my iPod onto my clothing.
I looked every where for a clip.

My brother bought me a money clip and used heavy duty velcro
to attach the clip.

Here is a photo of my little nano now with a Harley Davidson Money Clip on the back of my iPod. I can not even pull it apart. Oh and I am in no way a Harley Chick. This was the only money clip I could find. Money clips seem to be a relic. LOL!
